The Engaged Couple

An official photograph of my parents when they got engaged. The moment my dad met Mummy, I think he knew she was the one. They went on three dates together and each time an old aunt had to tag along as chaperone. Frustrated by the extra unwanted baggage, Daddy asked how he could see Mummy without her shadow constantly in the background. Mum shyly replied, "We can only go out together alone, if we're engaged."
