At last a real website from one of the original stars from Pans people .You were the most exciting thing to happen in the 60's (apart of course from the Beatles!) Really looking forward to seeing your gallery and hearing more about your colourful life . Love from Dave . Barnstable

It's great to finally see such an interesting site (with an inside view) from a real live Pan's Person no less!
With so little on the web about PP (shame the WWW wasn't around back in the 70s!), and so few repeats on the box, it is good to know that the black hole is gradually being filled, and I look forward to seeing more of the 'archives' online.
By the way, any chance of being able to persuade Beeb to repeat the 'In Concert' programme?!
On behalf of Panfans, the Pan's People online fan club for fans old and new (sorry can't resist the wee plug!), I wish you all the best for the site and the forthcoming book, which I know many will eagerly await! (Btw, will it be a private publication, or can it be bought in the shops?)

What a wonderful site!
I would love to see any pics of Pans People with Sarah Brightman in. I own the www.early-sarah-brightman.com website, and my aim is to get any unusual and early Sarah Brightman pictures. Any help etc will be much apprecaited.
I will add a link to this site from mine on my next update -in March 2005.

Hello Dee Dee Well, where on earth have you been? Sightings of any Pans Person over the past 30 years have been as rare as the Yeti's. I hope you know that pirate copies of 'In Concert' - mainly for the infamous 'pillow dance' (tut-tut Dee Dee!) - go for very silly money. A legitimate release would be a benevolent gesture to interested parties such as myself, who would use it purely as research into social trends (ahem!). Mind you, it probably constitutes a fire hazard, hence the Beeb's reluctance to release it. Anyway, good luck with your new project Dee Dee. Will you be getting the occasional contribution from any of the other girls? God Bless Colin

A big thank you. Do you read the panfans website? As you can see there is alot of interest in Pans People. Videos are changing hands on the blackmarket at high prices. Any chance of yourself and the other Pans members adding influence to get the Beeb to release material on DVD?
Anyhow, a very interesting start for your website, and a great conduit from the genuine article!
I am here in the middle of nowhere in Australia...do you know how hard it is..being a PP fan here?..I dont even get the benefit of taping the odd retrospective or quickie TOTP2 dance!!
All the best to you PS-(you still look fantastic by the way -whats in your attic?)

Hi Dee Dee,
It is great to see you have created a fantastic website, it is very interesting. I was always a big fan of Pans People back in the seventies, TOTP was a brilliant programme to watch as I was growing up. I have often wondered what all of you are up to now. I have seen the 'Bring on the Dancing Queens' documentary that was filmed in the mid nineties, but that was about it. You are all looking very well!! I shall keep checking out your website from now on.
All the best,
Paul Collins.

Hi Dee Dee. I was also a very good fan of Pans People back in the 70s, could't wait for top of the pops to see you all. Todays dancing does not seem to be the same. What a great website & will look forward to view it regularly as well as H.Ms. All the best for the future. eddy.crouch@btinternet.com

Hi Dee Dee,
It's wonderful to see how good you still look. A lifetime of dancing I suspect!
I was interested to read that you are compiling a pictorial history of Pans People. I have a copy of your original Pans People publicity leaflet with "Don't throw this away" written on the front, complete with the poster from "James Ramble Associates" presumably your original Agents.
Well, I haven't thrown it away so please feel free to get in touch if you are interested in using it, although it wouldn't surprise me if you already have a copy.
Best wishes, and thank you for all those pleasurable years you gave on TOTPs!

Hello Dee Dee!
Just visited the website for the first time - great stuff! Looking forward to seeing more info re Pan's People and what you're all up to now.
I seem to recall that in the early 1990s, some members of Pan's People appeared on some daytime TV programme, and one member (I think it may have been you) mentioned about writing a book on Pan's People. I've never seen a copy - Did it ever come out?
Like most teenage guys in the first half of the 1970s, I thought Pan's People were the best reasons for watching Top Of The Pops - some weeks, maybe the ONLY reason for watching it. If only they were on the programme now, it might be worth watching again! Perhaps the BBC should put together a compilation video/DVD on your best bits (as selected by the group.)
Please pass on my best wishes to all the other ex-Pan's People members, along with my grateful thanks for the part you all played in helping me get through my teenage years.

Dear Dee Dee,
A few weeks ago I sent you a email. If you invite people to do so it's more a matter of politeness to at least give notice.

hi dee dee! hope your well I forgot you told me about your website when we went to watch Laura's (cancelled) gig. enjoyed browsing and looking at your photos! I had an agency audition at the dance attic on wednesday, there were 200 of us budding dancers there which gave me a bit more insight into the audition process. there were only 4 girls recalled and the agency had jobs already lined up for them! no luck there however going to Marylebone dance studios for another audition tomorrow so fingers crossed! must speak soon lots of love to Henry and family xxxxxPerry

Did an internet search for “Pans People” a few years back and the only hits were references to a Chris Spedding single !
Very happy to find deedeewilde.com, but coming to terms with Pans People being 30 years ago is real mid life crisis material . . .

Hi Dee Dee, Watching you and the rest of the girls on TOTP helped to bring lots of sunshine into our lives, so it's pleasing to know that you are well. The web site is great, varied and interesting (didn't know about your Anglo-Italian bloodline) and the guest book is a nice touch, makes it feel open & friendly. Love the photo "five go down to the beach" as I am from Blackpool, did PP ever do a show there? I can't recall one. Didn't realise you were so multi-talented, you sound very busy with lots of projects on the go...never enough time is there. I will be your very 1st customer for the PP book when it is published, dare say it will prove a huge hit with fans and public alike, who have always held a soft spot for you. See...you still make people Happy...good on you! Will write again as the site develops. Take care Dee Dee, kind Regards, garyhorsman2@hotmail.com

Dear Dee,
It is some thirty odd years since we met ( circa 1970 ) and although you will not remember me I have some wonderful memories of you all.At the time I was managed by Jim Ramble, the group was called 'The world over' and our single was 'Boulevard San Michelle'.The last time I saw Jim was in 1976 or thereabouts,he was still living in Duke St.W1.
I would like to contact him again if possible, and hope you can guide me in the right direction.Jim was very helpful to me in my career and it would be wonderful to hear from him again.
In the meantime, all my best wishes to you all and hope to hear from you soon,
Terry

Pan's People were the best group of dancers before(not difficult) or since(pretty tough) the late 60's, early 70's. I'm not sufficiently clued up enough to know if you were technically brilliant or not, but I know what I liked. I think the answer lies in the fact that every red bloodied male viewer thought that you were all dancing for him personally. digdog512@aol.com

Last night I unearthed some old transparencies taken when I was in the Royal Navy - Part of this included the time when Pans People visited H.M.S London in Malta and I was one of the sailors that stumbled around on stage whilst the group danced o so elegantly around us. So with a little twinge of nostalgia I would like to send my regards to you and the others. dwalmor2@hotmail.co.uk

Hi, Dee Dee, the girl in red. Down in London staying with my neice for Christmas and the New Year. Visiting a friend nearby. We got onto the Pans People website and then found your website. Thanks for the Christmas card. Nice to hear from you. Caught you and Babs on BBC2 the other night. Great news that your book is coming out next year. I'm looking forward to reading it. Found two more photos of you from the middle 70s, one of you modelling a 1950s dress and the other in nightwear. Sad news about Top of the Pops being moved from BBC1 to BBC2. Over the last few months there has not been any Pans People dance routines on, which is very disappointing. Good luck in your new ventures. Wishing you a very happy New Year. Best wishes Love, Clive

Hi DD:
I was thinking about the days of my youth when I lived in the UK (born in Wales and raised in Hounslow) and Pan's people were brilliant during TOTP which my whole family never missed - especially for Pans People. You bought wonderful memories to me and wish you the very best. Regards Roy Stapleton - New Jersey USA

hi dee dee thanks for the site; it's great to keep up with the news of a real pans person! i hope you girls know just how important you were to us adolescent males of the mid-seventies! thanks for all the great memories. best of luck with the book; can't wait to see it; make sure it's available on-line when it's finished. any other fans who feel the need for an injection of nostalgia should check out the pansfans group on yahoo uk. in the absence of dvds in the shops (shame on you bbc!), there are dvds (of questionable picture quality) on e-bay; for me it's such a pleasure to see the girls in action again that the picture quality is not such a problem! keep working on that book!! all the best for 2006 ian

Hi Dee Dee
Did you ever record a song called 'You can really rock and roll me' with Mike Batt?
There is song around from 1974 which is said to be by Pan's People? Was it your Pan's People? See here for proof!: http://chrisspedding.com/session/pp/pp.htm
Please let me know- the song is brilliant!
Thanks,

Hi Dee Dee,
Any chance of seeing some of the other girls' pictures on your web-site? What about the girls who danced with you after Top of the Pop days? I was crazy about one I saw in a caberet show and she wasn't one from Top of the Pops.

Hi Dee Dee I was eleven years old in 1972 and told my Dad when I grew up I wanted to marry Dee Dee from Pan's People. I thought you were gorgeous !! And then sometime in the mid-seventies you disappeared and I forgot all about you. Then a few years ago you popped up on a BBC documentary about Pan's People and there you were, as gorgeous as ever. And you still are !! I'm forty five this year, thirty four years have gone by and the memory lingers. Just looking at your photo stirs up those old feelings again... and they called it puppy love, oh I guess they'll never know... I'm actually now a respectable, successful, well-rounded individual (believe it or not) , but if ever find yourself in West Yorkshire with an evening to spare, let me know (cevante@hotmail.co.uk). Stay happy, and thanks for the memories.
